The Wrong Blog

I think blogs are fun.....for the most part. They have caused their share of problems, especially among the teens. I truly think they should be outlawed. For teens anway. As if there isn't enough drama in a teenagers life, here comes the blogs.....they can write things they are feeling/thinking, but unfortunately the rest of the world, including the people that they go to school with, will read them. My youngest daughter made the mistake of saying she thought a particular girl was a slut. I don't know this girl, never even heard of her before all this. But 3 of her "so called" friends rushed to this girls defense, which is fine, but they haven't let it go. It hurts me that girls who've know Morgan forever will rush to someones side who they've only known a short time, and then deny Morgan their friendship when she's talked to this girl and they've worked out their differences. They are just as bad as she was.....because two of them called her several times on her cell phone while she was in S.D. and yelled "SLUT" when she answered the phone. How dumb can one be, when their names come up on her caller ID, yet deny it was them? The problem I have with this is....they condem her for her actions, yet they are doing the same thing to her, even after she admitted she was wrong and apologized. Ever heard of "forgive and forget"??? I don't think they have. As a parent, I just want to go up to these girls and let them know how awful they have been, but I also know that butting into her affairs can cause more problems. Her big sister has spoke her piece, and one girl would *not* let it go, putting comments on Ashley's xanga and IM'ing her. It's getting so ridiculous that I'm about to tell Morgan she needs to shut her xanga down and forget about blogging. She can keep an "old fashion" journal if she needs to put her thoughts out there, one that no one but she can see. I wish these so called "friends" could read this blog, but I know they have no idea that I have one and I'm not about to go there. I just needed to blow off some steam. Not that it helped, but maybe someone else can clue their kids in to *not* do what my daughter did and save themselves and their kids some pain!
