Are we Crazy??

You be the judge. We received a mailing from the Dodge dealership where we have purchased our last 2 vehicles. It had a deal for trucks and SUV's for 60 months with 0% interest. We took in our Durango, which we bought 2 years ago in April, and which has 51,000 miles on it, and checked out trading it in. Long story short, in my garage is now a 2006 Durango Limited. It has all the same features as the old one except it has a navigation system, better stereo and auto hatch open/close function. It is *not* a Hemi, which the old one was, but still has a big enough engine in it to pull stuff and go fast (like I need to go fast). It only has 99 miles on it (I put about 30 of those on already), which will change quickly this weekend as we are spending the night in Estes Park and heading to Wheatridge for a volleyball tournament on Sunday. The beauty of it all is that our payments will be *very* close to the old payments! So, are we crazy?

Well, your payments will go on longer than your old ones would have, right?

I do like to buy new vehicles, but I drive them for a VERY long time because I hate having a car payment. Then again, we bought our last one we refinanced the house, so I'm only pretending that we don't have a car payment now!

That's kinda funny, BGM and I did the same thing. Our dear departed Sebring was paid off with the home equity line, and we prolly still owe $5k on it. And it's dead! Yes, I pretend it was paid off, lalala.

We have no payments right now, but that won't last forever. I'd LOVE to have a new car, and if you don't mind always having car payments, go ahead, enjoy!
