It's Too Late Now
There's no turning back....I already paid for it. During this weeks meetings, our topic was, of course, about Thanksgiving and how to maintain your control. One of the things we suggest is exercise. Of course I've quit going to Curves since I am bored with it. But I'd like to enjoy Thanksgiving without too much quilt. My friend suggested the "Turkey Trot"...an annual Thanksgiving morning 2K or 5K run/walk. I mentioned it to the youngest....heck yea, she wants to do it. The oldest hymed-hawed around, then said she'd do it. I stopped today at the store (a store that sells running shoes, coincidence, I think not!) and signed the 3 of us up. For $50, we all got long sleeved t-shirts, #'s to wear and depending how we do, we could win prizes! They give out prizes for age brackets. Ashley and I will walk....Morgan plans on running. I only signed up for the 2K (gotta start slow, ya know!), I'm expecting Morgan might win something. Lets hope the weather cooperates and isn't too cold at 9:00 a.m. on a Colorado Thanksgiving morning!

Good for you! When I walk, I do either 2 or 2.5 miles, so I'm sure you can manage the 2K no problem.
But you might want to get out for one or two walks before then!
Great, Lisa! I need to sign up for a walk- great incentive.
