Homecoming Week

I think I said in one of my last blog enteries that I must be boring. Well, my life isn't boring this week! It's homecoming week, which means the kids are busy building floats and going to games. Morgan has been driving me crazy with the middle school homecoming float, evidiently she's never heard of delegating! Just because she's "in charge" of it, doesn't mean others can't do some of the stuff! Crazy girl! Ashley's been sick most of the week, but has managed to attend everything. The powder puff game was the best! I do have to say, the senior girls were scary! There is one girl who played football until she was in 6th grade, and she's a very solid girl. She took out a few of our juniors! It was "touch" football, but she got a little carried away. They did give the seniors 15 yard penalties. And our little, skinny quarterback got clotheslined! But for the most part it was good, clean fun, Ashley said she had a good time. As a defensive lineman. It was TTF! She's a little too girly! The seniors won, 22 - 6, but Ashley said they will practice more next year and have a few tricks up their sleeves! The boys also had "powerstuff" volleyball that night. Again the seniors won, but the jrs gave them a good run for their money, it was a fun night!
I had to work today, which is something I don't normally do, but it was a small meeting (I was the receptionist) and I balanced right away, so we got out of there fairly quickly. Now I'm getting ready to go clean the windows on the Durango, then write on them with those "window markers" for homecoming. I have to go pick up the middle school's float AND I'll be driving it in the parade! I think I'm supposed to help sell raffle tickets for the after prom committee at the game tongiht too.

Tomorrow is Morgan's volleyball tournament. I hope they do well. Keep your fingers crossed. She is contemplating trying out for a club volleyball team. It will take major committment and her social life will have to take a backseat for a few months. She has until Sunday to decide....I say try out, there's a 50/50 chance she'll make it. If she does, she has 24 hours to give them an answer. If she doesn't, then she doesn't have to worry about it!

So, this may be a boring read, but my life is definitely not boring right now. In fact, I'm ready for a slow down, but that won't come until Tuesday!

Busy as usual, I see! I've been swamped with company and a swim meet and am trying to catch up on my blog surfing before heading off to work.

Eric's HS played flag football for the powderpuff games, so I don't remember too much rough stuff.

I do remember that star running back from the boy's team being sneaked on "in drag" one year for fun.
