And the Rest of the Story

IF you read yesterday's post, you'll know it wasn't the best day. After stopping at the middle school to make sure Morgan didn't forget my soaked look, I went home, stripped off wet clothing and threw on some sweats, blow dryed my hair (but didn't re-style it) and tried to destress. At 5:00 I headed back to the middles school to pick up Morgan and 5 other 8th grade student council members for float decorating. We drive out to "the ranch" and pull in. The trailer I took there earlier is still sitting out in the rain....like they can decorate a drenched trailer. The 7th grade girls who are also student council members (one of which lives there) are no where to be found. The girls call them...."oh, someone will move the trailer" and "we'll be there in 10 minutes". That turned out to be a half hour!!!! One of the ranch hands finally came and moved the trailer into the HUGE barn and I finally got to drop the kids off and leave. Unfortuantely, I decided I needed to go back, since yesterday was pajama day and so Morgan still had on her volleyball clothes, had no sweats, no hoodie and her good vball shoes on. I ran home, grabbed some warm clothes and old shoes and a huge jar of cheese balls (she won those at our churchs festival) and Ashley and I went back. Of course it's 6:30 by this time. She was thrilled to get clothes and snacks. Ashley and I went to Greeley (we were half way there) to get something to eat. We decided to go to Alberto's....inside. Ashley was embarrassed, I had on softball sweats, a black turtleneck sweater, a green jacket and had my hair pulled up in a clip, still looking like a drowned rat! Headed back and picked up the girls by 8:00 (found out I was taking them all back to the middle school), dropped everyone off and headed home. I talked to the hubby for about 2 minutes and went to bed. It was one very wild and wet and LONG day!
