And the Walls Came Tumbling Down
Okay, so maybe the walls didn't tumble down, but in any case, our high school as been deemed "unsafe" so the students will get out of school a week early (this Friday). Ashley isn't sure whether to be excited or freaked out. They found this out Monday, and teachers and students alike are scrambling to finish up projects. Some teachers are just skipping final exams. I guess there is a wall or two by the gym and pool (and the commons area, which was just remodeled last year) that isn't sturdy, so our seniors can't even graduate in their own school, which usually takes place in the gym. They are having graduation at UNC. I have a feeling things will be pretty hectic. This throws off my schedule too! I'm just hoping that they don't tell me next fall that the high school students will be starting school late because they haven't finished fixing it!

How did they manage to find out something like this so close to the end of the school year? Sheesh!
Ooh, deja vu, like three years ago when they found that our elementary school was too moldy and all the kids got kicked out into the rear building or the middle school. Nothing's been the same since- but we got two new schools out of it that are opening in September! And it looks like our HS will be starting late... again... because of the construction there. Good luck!
