Of course, it's not really over! At least that's what our priest said in his homily Christmas Eve. We should still be celebrating the birth of Jesus and the 12 days of Christmas! Of course like the priest said (I'd call him by his name, but he was a visiting priest from Austrailia and I can't remember his name), in the commercial world, it's already time to get ready for Valentine's Day. So I try to remind myself daily that we still should be celebrating the birth of Jesus.
Despite being just the 4 of us for Christmas, it was really very perfect! No rushing about to clean up after opening gifts, no stressing out about the food being done at a certain time. Morgan set her alarm for 8:00, so she woke everyone us, although I have to admit, I was awake, just didn't feel like getting up! We all were very please with our gifts....Ashley loved her all in one scanner, which was hooked up shortly after opening gifts. Morgan thought that black and red basketball shoes were the best, she put them on and wore them in the house the entire day! Eric said he never in his life thought he'd be glad to get dress clothes, but he was, that and his favorite gifts, the 2 DVD's of the Blue Collar Tour (Jeff Foxworthy and gang). I haven't seen him laugh that hard in a long time. I got a new and somewhat complicated digital camera. It even has "movie mode" on it. I decided after boggling my mind with reading the book, I'm just going to start using it and if I get stumped, I'll whip out the book and read just *that* part! As usual, sitting down to dinner, I realized how lucky I am, and feel sad when I know there are people who cannot afford such a nice Christmas, or have no one but themselves at this time of year.
Now life is getting back to normal, I guess. I did have to take down the artificial tree in the basement already....with a little help of Chester and Rex. Apparantly they were chasing each other around the basement and they knocked the tree over. It broke a leg off the base, so I tried gluing it back on. Then Morgan and I tried picking it up, but we weren't tall enough to lift it high enough to set it on the stand, and broke another leg off of it. So we laid it back down and I disassembled it while it was on the floor. Had some broken bulbs, but nothing that can't be replaced.
Ahhh, the life I lead....and you wonder why I called this "Crazy Thought by Lisa".

LOL that it was the two smallest pets that managed to knock the tree over. Can you replace the base?
Have fun with your new camera! It took me a year to figure out all the bells and whistles on mine!
