Company
I'm wondering if there will ever be a time that I won't run around like a crazy woman trying to get my house cleaned before company shows up. I'd like to just be able to change bedding and not have to worry about cleaning because it's already cleaned. Maybe that'll happen when the kids are both off to college. Or why do people who come to visit expect a clean house? If this house isn't clean when my parents show up tomorrow, I'll hear snide remarks! And why is it the people that make the biggest mess aren't here to help me clean? Why can't I win the lottery so I can have the extra money for a cleaning service? Do I sound a bit whiny when it comes to the cleaning. Do you see why I"m on the computer and not cleaning right now?

Two Left
Morgan has a track meet this afternoon. Her last one is this Saturday. She would like to break the middle school triple jump record. Her best jump is 30' 8". The record is 31' 3". Wish her luck! Her 4 x 4 relay team could possibly beat the record too. It's down to the wire.....hope they all do well!

What Does "I" Mean?
I'm not sure what my hubby meant by saying the following: "If you get the bedroom cleaned out, I will paint it tonight."
That was Friday. I got the bedroom cleaned out, except for the bed, since it had to be taken apart. He didn't paint that night because he got home late and we decided to do it the next day. Saturday he had to work in the morning. I did a few things around the house, then met him to look at new mattresses (going from a twin day bed to a full size in that room). We bought a mattress, then had lunch and headed home. Then we proceeded to make sure we had all the painting supplies we needed. It was off to the hardware store to get a custom color paint (and no paint supplies, he said we had everything we needed), and while there, he purchased fertizlier, humas (stuff to use when planting things), a new hose and 5 new roses bushes. When we got home, he commented that it was such a nice day, he'd really like to get the roses planted. I said that I would tape and do the trim work to get started. By 8:00 that evening, the hubby was done in the yard and I was 99% done painting the entire room. So really, what does "I will paint the room" mean, or did I dream that he said that?

Lazy Wednesday
I have things to do, but I just don't have the energy for it! I don't get it, I worked out this morning and felt fine, but by time I got home and read the newspaper, I was sleepy. Now, I've figured out the allergy medicine my doctor prescribed me keeps me up at night. I didn't sleep well last night at all. So I did take a 2 hour nap this morning. But when I got up, I was just as groggy! I really need to clean out the extra bedroom. I did get the drum set out of there and threw away a bunch of garbage and sorted clothes to go to Goodwill, but I didn't get nearly as far as I had planned. Maybe it has something to do with the gray skies today. Or maybe not sleeping well for 5 nights (I kid you not, I think I probably slept a total of 2 hours each night, lots of tossing and turning) have just caught up with me. Maybe I'm just feeling lazy. Whatever the case, I think it will be pizza night. I don't feel like planning and cooking a meal either!

Correct Me if I'm Wrong
Does anyone else think that this immigration reform deal has gotten out of hand? My daughter came home from school on Friday and said that the school said Monday would be "Mexican Monday" and that Hispanic students would not have to attend school. Busineses are shut down. People are protesting America's laws. If they don't like the laws, then why are they here? I am all for immigration and people getting a better chance at life. But there are channels to go through to do that legally. My great grandmother came here from Sweden. Legally. I know if we all trace our roots, we all came from immigrants. But illegal is, well, illegal. Laws are laws. If they disliked Mexico so much, then why are they flying the Mexican flag? Shouldn't they be flying the American flag? I guess I just don't get what gives illegal immigrants the right to protest the laws, when they are not citizens.
Oh, and teen #2 has decided that Thursday will be declared "Caucasion Thursday".
